The Scientific Revolution - Block 5-6

-We started the day by introducing ourselves to the new assistant.
-We told her what we wanted for christmas and our favorite food.
-After this we took a quiz about the Scientific Revolution.
-Today we will be learning more about the Scientific Revolution.
-Scientific Revolution- A new way of thinking about the natural world.
-Heretic-People who questioned the official word of the church
-Inquisition- Catholic church ruthlessly tried to find and punish heretics
-Recant- Officially take back something you said
- The class did a walk and talk and discussed the Scientific Revolution
- We watched a video about the Scientific Revolution
- We learned that Aristotle a greek philosopher thought the earth was the center of the universe and Copernicus showed him up
- Galileo was considered a heretic and was forced to be put under house arrest
